The forearm forklifts work very well for lifting heavy things (washers, dryers, couches, etc) on flat surfaces. When you try to go up stairs, the person on the bottom has an easy job, and the person going up at the top should probably have arms like Rocky. For going up stairs with LARGE objects, I actually have a product called "Shoulder Dolly".
Forearm Forklifts are quicker for flat surfaces, but for going up stairs, you need something that goes over your shoulders.

We bought these to help deliver furniture at my store. They're great for all of our inventory, even the super heavy stuff. In fact, they make it feel lighter. ???
FYI-for furnishings with legs, we just put them underneath. But, for the flat bottomed pieces we cross the straps once underneath and we've never had them slip out. They're even good on stairs.
Not only do they keep our dollies off our cust.'s floors, but they also work to get in and out faster. Use them if you can. I recommend them cause they work!

The forearm forklift is TRULY revelutionary! i recently moved my family of 5 from one 3 story home to another. I could not have done it without the forearm forklift! This product was incredibly easy to use, steady as a rock, and really made the move almost effortless.
I see in one other review that one woman did not care for this product. I think, perhaps she was using it incorrectly (not sure how, it sure doesn't take a rocket scientist!). With proper use, (and maybe a bit of common sense) I'm positive anyone would LOVE this product.

These straps are great for use with items that are tall and which might otherwise be difficult to lift. They are not as much help for something low and heavy, like a sofa. They transfer the weight to your upper body rather than your lower back, so my husband & son were able to move a heavy amoire and entertainment center without too much trouble. No back pain!

... I saw the movers using this strap system and always wanted them for myself, but never found them. Unfortunately for Amazon, I found them at a [local store] but I see you guys have them here for a little less. As you can imagine I was a worried about rolling with a handtruck and scuffing or scratching a floor on the way out... Not only did my wife and I have no problems using these, but the new apartment had stairs going down to our new front door. Stairs were no problem for these though. I suggest them for your customers who are moving.
