Very leaky, unreliable diapers August 15, 2008 Joss Delage (Seattle, WA USA) 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
We are now at the stage 4 and the diapers have become amazingly leaky. This wasn't much of a problem for smaller sizes but on this stage the diapers leak 80% of the time (easily 4 leaks out of 5 changes). We were travelling and had to use the usual global brands (Pampers and the like) and we were amazed how so much more reliable they were compared to the Seventh Generation. We had no problems at earlier stages and are happy about the baby wipes.
the best diapers July 2, 2008 Margaret (PA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
not much of a price difference between these 7th generation diapers and pampers or huggies, but much of a quality difference. we've had very little diaper rash - only very early on - and there was no gel reside like there was with the pampers we tried. excellent product.
Terrible Diapers! July 8, 2008 Teena Counts (Bristol, TN) 6 out of 10 found this review helpful
These diapers are the worst! I thought after all of the great reviews that these would be great. They leak terribly!! I mean a paper towel would hold more liquid than these! I ended up going with cloth diapers in the end but before I switched I tried these and was extremely dissappointed - I bought a case of them and ended up giving away 2 packs. What a waste of money. I had to change the baby every 30 min to an hour or he would be soaked clothes and all. I used what I had opened but to be "green" they caused more landfill material because you have to use 3 times more diapers than even cheap store brands. The only thing I did like abt these was the chlorine free and loved the color of the diapers but cloth Indian cotton is the way to go - cheaper in the long run and hold a lot more liquid!
Great diapers! (but small) September 3, 2008 Gertrude, The Kamikaze Bomber (West Michigan) 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
These are great diapers. I love the idea that they are environmentally responsible. It did take a while to get used to the sort of greyish tint but the absence of chlorine was the cause. I am suddenly horrified by the diapers with all of the pretty designs on them. I like Cars but how much chlorine was used in their creation? They do run small. You need to check the weight of your baby. If you are near the cusp, go UP.
Best Diapers for Sensitive Bums! May 1, 2008 OC Jennifer (Ladera Ranch, CA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
My 21 month old has very sensitive skin, and "conventional" disposable diapers caused him to get frequent diaper rash. Since the cloth diaper route wasn't really an option for us, I tried a few chlorine-free alternatives before settling on this brand. Seventh Generation Diapers are cut well to minimize chafing, they are a nice neutral color as opposed to covered in characters and bright colors, and they absorb fluid well. Only time I've ever had a problem is when my son drinks tons of liquids in the afternoon and evening, for if I don't change his diaper right away when he wakes up in the morning he will start to leak. But in his defense he does sleep for 11 hours straight, so I would expect leaks at that point. Under normal circumstances these diapers perform just as well as Pampers Cruisers and Huggies, yet they are environmentally more friendly and much kinder to sensitive bums which makes them leaps and bounds better in my book.
