Kona? March 17, 2007 Horizon (Scottsdale, AZ) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
I guess it doesn't take much to call something Kona. Not objectionable, but fairly weak, insipid coffee. Not a good example of what you can get from a K-cup.
A bit weak February 17, 2007 Robin M. Lee (Bay Area, CA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is a medium blend, and I like my coffee much stronger. Even at the lowest water setting, it's still a light cup. I'm much prefer to get a darker, bolder blend and use the middle water setting. Just not enough umph for me.
A little bit of heaven January 26, 2007 Leonard A. Abazorius (Cape Cod,Ma.) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Coffee is so hard to describe but this Kona blend is so wonderful that it reminds me of coffee flavored ice cream. You get that true coffee taste without being bitter or overly strong. This is now my new favorite. I love the Green Mountain and will continue with it but I must admitt I like this better. Give it a try, I am sure you will be pleasently suprised.
Try it, you'll like it June 15, 2007 Gordon Martin (Chesapeake, VA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is currently my favorite Kona blend K-cup. My experience has been very good and fairly consistent through 5 or 6 boxes. To me the overall taste is smooth, somewhat sweet and fruity, with a slightly acidic overtone. I've found it tastes best, if after brewing, I let the cup sit for a couple of minutes to mellow out; just enough time to get my books out to settle in for a long stretch of reading. This also lets it cool slightly so that you don't burn your tongue. If you singe your tongue, you'll miss everything. Also, don't let it get too cold; it seems to loose flavor and you might find it too acidic. Now, this is a blend. If you're expecting a 100% Kona taste, you will find it lacking. But I don't think you'll be disappointed. However, if you're looking for a really bold, dark roast flavor, more along the lines of a French roast Columbian, this will be too mild and delicate for you. To me this is not a morning coffee. This is a relaxing afternoon and evening/late-night coffee. I have had one or two bad cups; but it's inevitable. What, you've never screwed up a pot of coffee? :) I've also tried other brands. Tully's is very good as well, but I seem to come back to this one.
Timothy's Kona coffee February 29, 2008 B. Jackson 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
We first tried the sample pack and liked Timothy's Kona coffee for the Keurig pod coffee maker the best. Everyone who drinks it absolutely loves it.
