No problems with this drive. Its quiet and cool and i'm using it to store my thousands of music files. I'd get another one if I could get it at the same price as before.

First drive recieved was defective out of the box.
Replacement failed in only a few months with 147 Gigs of irreplacable baby pictures, tax documents and all my music.
Same mode of failure described in other one star review. Buzz..Buzz.

I bought this drive to replace a dying Western Digital 500GB drive. This drive was less expensive, larger capacity, smaller "footprint", and much less noisy than the MyBook drive.
My only negitive observation is that it does seem to get fairly hot.
Recommended!

This is a great external hard drive. Easy to use and interface with your computer. We use it to store movies, mp3's, and scanned documents.

Received in record time! I needed additional storage for videos and pictures. In fact, bought two to provide an additional backup. So far I have experienced no problems with this unit. It's fast, backs up fast and would certainly recommend to others.
