Always running out of battery power August 3, 2008 Nader Shaikh (Philadelphia, PA USA) Takes decent pictures. But there seems to be a problem with the batteries running out after about 20-50 shots. Others have been having the same problem (just google this).
Awesome! August 7, 2008 Renaissance Man (Woodsboro, MD USA) I have had this camera for almost a year. It performs very well, takes great pictures, and was a great price. Recently, I had some trouble with the lens extending. Make sure that you do not accidentally press the on button while the camera lense is unable to extend (like while it is in a case that does not allow the lense to extend). It was covered by warranty and Canon fixed it very quickly, with no charge. I am very impressed with this camera and Canon's warranty service. You can't go wrong with this camera! Watch the higher prices charged from some sellers on Amazon; chcek out all the sellers and you'll see that this camera sells for about $170--$180.
Awesome Camera- A must have for anyone!!! August 15, 2008 Resistafire, Inc. (Audubon, PA) I had purchased this camera for my husband, since he loves taking pictures, a couple of days before we left for Florida. When we got it, we made sure it worked by taking a couple of pictures. Unknown to us, the camera only worked inside and not outside. This of course we due to the fact that we received a used, already returned camera by accident. But this didn't help us in Florida. We wound up purchasing another camera (Kodak digital). When we returned from our trip, I emailed Amazon and they were awesome about the whole thing. What a relief to find a store that will not ask any questions and they will send you a new one, prior to you returning the old one. The next day, we received the new camera and, yes, it was brand new. I love this camera. It takes wonderful pictures and is easy to download pictures onto your computer. Much easier than the Kodak one that we purchased. Would totally recommend this camera and certainly purchase it through amazon.com, since they are the best in customer service.
Auto Mode Settings Make For Poor Picture Quality August 29, 2008 Lucas Smith I don't want to duplicate what others have said. There are good things about this camera and not so good things. The one thing though that irks me me is the noise performance and in particular that the ISO setting in automatic mode produces very poor quality indoor pictures. For a entry level consumer camera that will be used in auto mode or video mode for 99% of the time this is unacceptable in my opinion.
"Lens Error, Restart Camera" September 14, 2008 David Q. Ziegler (Springfield, VA United States) Avoid this camera! After only two months, the thing is non-functional, only give this "lens error, restart camera" message. A brand new camera, $250+ dollars, down the drain!! A piece of junk!!
