The 2-megapixel camera can capture still images up to 1600 x 1200 pixels--good enough for 8 x10-inch prints. It allows you to control a number of imaging elements, including resolution/quality settings, brightness, and white balance, and includes an 8x zoom, self-timer, multi-shot capability, and color effects added after you snap the picture. You can also record video, either 30-second clips for sending via Sprint's Picture Mail or as much as your optional MicroSD memory card will hold. The digital audio player is compatible with MP3, AAC, and AAC+ files, and you can listen via headphone (either wired or wireless) or through the built-in stereo speakers.
It includes a 2-megapixel camera (with video capture), Bluetooth connectivity for communication headsets and stereo music, and MicroSD expansion. | Safe, hands-free cellular conversations are always available with the built-in speakerphone. The iTap text entry technology, which makes it easier for people to enter words and text on handsets, is built into the unit--a plus for mobile email and text messaging users. The phone also sports an airplane mode feature, which allows the user to safely use the non-wireless functions of a phone (such as music, games, or organizer functions) on an airplane during flight. Other features include voice dialing, Picture ID, polyphonic ringtones, USB port (with mass storage capability), and multi-lingual menus (English and Spanish). Sprint/Nextel Services The best-in-class Nextel Walkie-Talkie service instantly connects you with business associates and family members, whether they're across town, the country and even across borders to Latin America and Canada. With the Direct Talk all-digital, off-networkservice, you'll be able to connect with a compatible phone within a range of up to 6 miles (range will vary based on terrain and conditions). Direct Talk provides reliable back-up communications tool in times of emergency, network outage, or when traveling to remote areas not under Nextel coverage such as hiking, cruise vacations or inside buildings. Sprint voice and PowerVision data services are delivered via the Sprint National and Mobile Broadband Networks, reaching over 262 and 200 million people respectively in the United States. The Motorola IC902 is the first PowerSource phone from Sprint to support PowerVision services, providing access to productivity-enhancing data speeds and entertainment services like music (Power Vision charges apply). Sprint's music service is another EV-DO-powered service that makes the IC902 all the more desirable. With the Sprint Music Store, your phone is a music player, letting you buy, download, and then jam out wherever you are with new songs or old favorites. Offering a growing selection of more than 1.6 million songs, the store provides you two copies of each song--one for the phone and another for the PC, as well as the ability to burn songs to a CD using Windows Media Player. Save your songs to a memory card with a capacity that's right for you. You can even pause to take a call without missing a beat. Sprint coverage, Nextel features, and one awesome phone! August 22, 2007 Adam G. Dyer (Columbus, OH) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I got this phone through upgrading my phone, since it was time. This phone has features about it that blow me away! There are the obvious features such as the 2.0MP camera with flash, Nextel walkie-talkie, integrated MP3 player with side-of-phone buttons, headphone jack, and all other features listed for the product. One cool feature is the fact that this phone can become like an iPod! The miniSD card that comes with the phone is a 128MB SD card. The phone comes with a mini-to-micro SD card adapter for use in a computer or USB port computer adapter. You can load 15-20 songs on the 128MB card. You could also buy a 4GB miniSD card (as much memory as an iPod Mini) for around $100 and turn the phone into an iPod! All for cheaper than it would be to buy an iPod! If you have the means to purchase this phone, it is well worth it. One drawback is that since it has high-tech capabilities, it is not the typical "I-can-throw-my-phone-through-a-brick-wall-and-still-use-it" Nextel phone. It is more sensitive, so I would definately use the holster that comes with it, or purchase one of your choice. Happy shopping!
