I was in this movie August 28, 2003 W. J. Barnaby (virginia beach, va United States) 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
I'm only writing a review because I was actually in this movie. It was a bit part with only two lines -- and they were both cut from the final film -- but as least you can see me in some scenes. I played Deputy Palmer, who is seen talking to and holding back various extras during the 2nd scene in the movie, where the police and others have gathered outside a building after the discovery of bodies in the basement. This was supposed to be the beginning of my film 'career,' but when a different talent agency did the casting for Hellraiser 3 I couldn't find any more work. Plus, I became a single parent and had to spend all my time caring for my daughter. Oh well. Overall, the movie was lousy, but I had fun during my two days on the set.
Genius! September 20, 2004 Johnny Biggs (Brampghanistan) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
God, I love this kind of stuff. Basically, Children of the Corn II is cheap, gory, and loads of fun. It's also well-made, too... the effects are pretty good (not anything amazing but they more then get the job done). This film contains buckets of blood, gotta love that nose-bleed scene! 'Final Sacrifice' also contains a great score by Daniel Licht and has a fairly morbid sense of humor (What a World!). Overall, the complete package for a great time at the movies... dripped in blood, of course.
The best children-corn film since the first. March 15, 2000 shawn mahood (lewiston, idaho) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
When I first saw that they made another children of the corn film,I just said it's going to be a repeat of the first. I was wrong. The movie was awsome and almost as better as the first. The cast of the movie, was wonderful. Even the girl who play lacy, now she look like a wonderful person to work with on the movie. Also my hat off to the director David price who did a good job with the final sacrifice, his work, and any ideas that he had on the film with the writers on the scenes were great.
Makings of a good movie, with little suspense August 29, 2001 Mr. Censored (Maine) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Children of the Corn II came out 8 years after the original, and beckons the question: Why was this sequel even made? Barely having any significane to the original film, this sloppy sequel stars a bunch of people that no one cares about. This makes for a very lousy and UN-suspenseful film, because when you don't like a character, you hope they die and aren't too worried or scared when they do. However, the film is not completely lost. It has a much faster pace than the original and plenty of blood and guts to satisfy any horror fan. But if you really want something scary/entertaining, Children of the Corn II is not for you.
NOT OSCAR MATERIAL... BUT MILDLY ENTERTAINING!!! May 22, 2002 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Not a bad movie considering that the first movie was unbelievably dull, boring and monotonous... and they called the first one a horror movie... MORE LIKE HORR-IBLE!!! They should reclassify it as a DRAMA since it was not even mildly scary... Anyways, as far as the material these folks had to work with I would say it was a pretty decent effort... B LEVEL at best but entertaining and isn't that the point!!! The kid who plays MICAH is quite menacing as the evil leader... there are the 'corn children' up to their naughty pranks as usual... squashing a suspicious old woman with her house, another old lady gets her wheelchair hurled into a BINGO parlor with the help of MICAH using a remote car control, another old man (gee, sounds like old people are the targets in this one, eh...) who is a doctor gets his own 'medicine' with the help of the 'corn children' with hypodermic needles stuck to him like a pin cushion... FOLKS AREN'T THESE 'SWEET' CHILDREN JUST A 'LITTLE' MISUNDERSTOOD!?!? These people know they are E-V-I-L so you know they are gonna be pushing up the daisies sometime in the movie... Then there is the reporter (KNOX)and his obnoxious teen son... The love interests of reporter and son and an Idian medicine man or something... WEll as usual nobody in the town wants to admit the kids are a little strange and psychotic since if they do they will be a target... As for deaths not many of the main folks get it except MICAH AND THE medicine man... and the others who may have 5-10 minute acting times in the movie... Some humor in scenes a little bit of blood a little bit of smooching some rolling in the bed (nothing to raise an eyebrow) lots of running just your all around decent B movie... BETTER THAN THE FIRST but then ANYTHING is!!!!
