A good golf starter December 14, 2000 58 out of 58 found this review helpful
This is a very simple and durable golf set for toddlers. It is easy to assemble and simple to use. We got this set for our son when he was two year old, but he didn't play with it very much because his motor skills weren't developed enough to really have fun with it. He would try to hit the ball and miss it a lot, which was very frustrating for him. He likes it much more now that he is almost three and he can hit the ball more consistently in a direction of his choosing.I would recommend this toy for toddlers at least three years old rather than the two years recommended by the manufacturer.
Awesome toy - extremely durable for boys! July 2, 2004 carolyn (Canal Winchester, OH) 25 out of 26 found this review helpful
Okay, if you have a boy, grab this set. Little Tikes must know how strong little guys get and make their products accordingly. Our neighbor decided that my son needed to learn how to play golf so I had to get him this set. It is so much better than my neighbor's daughter's set and 10 times more durable. She has a generic one but I opted for Little Tikes because I know how rough my guy can be. He has so much fun with this set and we even bought him a package of tees so he can golf like a pro. He really enjoys it and has even learned a great swing at three!
Fun for little ones November 7, 2000 21 out of 21 found this review helpful
My daughter was given this golf set when she was 3. We've had it for 4 years, and it is still one of the favorites in the house. It has lasted much use & abuse, and looks as good as when we got it. The storage of the "holes" is very useful, but requires adult "assembly" to replace them on the carrier after play. We still have all the parts. From our experience, this toy is exciting for kids from 2 years to 7 years. At 7, they would rather use "real" clubs & play real golf. It is a GREAT indoor game for year-round!
Very good golf toy July 26, 2004 Anonymouse 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
My mom gave this set to our 3 year old daughter last year. She played with it as soon as she saw it and still plays with it every day. The set is composed of a pretend iron, a pretend putter, a golf cart, an inverted cup that serves as the hole and 3 balls. Since I, my husband and her older sister play real golf, my now-4 year old has graduated to a real putter and hits with adult golf balls. Whether or not you plan to introduce your child to the sport, it's still a good toy. She still pays with this set inside the house. It's made of plastic so it hasn't damaged the furniture and yet it's sturdy enough not to fall apart. Just make sure you assemble the golf cart correctly or else it can turn into a little surfing board. ;) When it's not golf, the cart has been used to transport various toys from room to room and outdoors. Also, even though it's bigger than a regulation hole in a golf course, we've all used the inverted cup to practise our putting. I highly recommend this set for golf, its versatility, sturdiness and fun factor!

What is there to say? I'm not sure what could be done to mess up a toy this simple. It delivers just what you'd expect. We've only had it a few weeks, but it seems sturdy. Putting it together was simple. I like the target cup thing. (I'll probably use it for putting practice myself.) Our 20 month son enjoys the toy. The plastic "bag" is sturdy, and our son enjoys pushing it around the room as much as he likes hitting balls with the clubs. I rated the educational value as low as I did because, realistically, I'm not sure there's much educational value in a sports toy like this. We chose this one over the Fisher Price because the Fisher Price seemed more complex than necessary. (Especially since our son is below the recommended age range for these types of toys.)
