Teacher Review Thrill-seekers young and old glide through the air with this deluxe trolley ride. An adult is needed to follow the detailed installation instructions. Once the 70-foot steel cable is mounted to two trees or other stable upright supports, the trolley can be grasped for suspended riding from one point to another. The Fun Ride Deluxe is excellent for building motor skills, upper body strength, and physical confidence. Kids who learn by using their muscles will particularly appreciate the physical activity, and the natural endorphin release is an additional perk for all users of the trolley. The Fun Ride Deluxe can hold individuals up to 225 pounds, and as one would suspect, adult supervision is required at all times during use. -- Lauren Bernard, mother and elementary school teacher

zipping fun needs lots of setup July 29, 2000 Stevie Goldberg (Acworth, Georgia USA) 224 out of 228 found this review helpful
Attaching the cable is alot more work than explained in the directions. If there are not two trees spaced the needed distance, a very sturdy post and support must be built. The "drop" needed for a good ride is also more than the instructions called for. One end of our line had to be 15 feet off the ground with the other end at 5 feet in order to ride even 50 feet without "stalling out" in the middle. The end secured to a tree is slowly killing the tree since it had to be secured so tight.
Snapped Screw on Zip Line! June 20, 2002 69 out of 76 found this review helpful
We've enjoyed this product for a year, but yesterday a visiting friend had an accident caused by this "Fun" Ride. The end peice shown, an oval with two screws, that you use to tighten the line, snapped when a trim 7 year old boy was on it. This should have held a grown man! We got the deluxe, just to be on the safe side with weight of users. He got a deep cut on top of his head, a bruise, and obviously a scare. This is not how I like to spend our playdates, and his father had to leave work. My husband put this toy together, he is a skilled craftsman, it wasn't put together incorrectly. I have yet to inform the company of this accident at our home, (that is why I logged on today, to get their info) but I hope that they address the problem. Good luck, and be careful.
Endless hours of fun; for big kids too... October 25, 2001 Kedmun Sitterley (Charlotte, NC) 67 out of 68 found this review helpful
We have this mounted between a tree and our boat dock on about 150' of cable (I did not use the 70' piece that comes with it). I have 4 kids, ages 8, 10, 13, & 14. Whenever friends come over they are always playing on this, sliding out over the water to our boat dock. It has had countless hours of use and abuse for 2 years. I'm only replacing it to help guarantee its safety (not disintegrating enroute). It still works ok, but is getting a bit "ratty", and occasionally sticks on the cable because it is worn between the sides and the pulleys; giving room for the cable to "skip the track". Highly recommended, but be safe.
Fun ride deluxe is enjoyable. July 12, 2002 D. Richardson (Lafayette, CA USA) 25 out of 26 found this review helpful
We had the classic version and then moved up to the deluxe. It was fine while it lasted...young teenage boys managed to jam it so it won't roll. But we're thinking about another one soon. While it ran it was enjoyed by one and all.
An Awesome Ride December 1, 2003 Diana L. Mcdermott (Woodridge, IL United States) 24 out of 24 found this review helpful
This is the best toy in the neighborhood! Everybody loves it. I have never seen my kids play with something for so long. We bought it in August and in December they still want to play everyday. It is well worth the $.. investment.
