important!!!! May 17, 2008 G. Fulton (Seattle, Washington USA) 62 out of 63 found this review helpful
If your yard is not perfectly level this sadly doesn't work very well. I thought our yard was as level as in the picture, as this slide has standing water in it and it will only pool twards the slightest incline. It only works if the water level is even thoughout the whole 26 feet. Mine pooled on each end so the kids stopped in the middle every time. Sadly, I will have to return mine. If you have a VERY level yard this would work great!!!!!! Otherwise...don't waist your money.
Yard better be level! May 31, 2008 Richard E. Cope 14 out of 15 found this review helpful
I completely agree with the previous review. I also thought that my yard was level, but sadly it is not. My son could only use half of the slide. It worked okay, but he did not have enough room to complete his boarding. The set-up is fairly easy and does not take too long. The clean up is a complete hassle! There is no easy way to romove the water and the water in the bumpers (sides) has to be squeezed out. Expect at least 20 minutes to get rid of the water before you can allow it to dry. I would avoid this product unless you are absolutely sure that your yard is perfectly level. Rich
Very Disappointing June 8, 2008 Susan Powers (Kingsland, GA USA) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
We bought this product for our two boys ages 11 and 13. We've recently moved from the beach to the mountains and thought this would be perfect use for their skim boards. When we opened it up, there is a warning on the slide that says "Not for use by older kids or adults that are over 5 ft. tall or 110 lbs." They were sooo disappointed, they are both over 5 ft. tall and 110 lbs. There was nothing about this on the outside of the box it only says they need to be over 8 years old. The pictures of the kids using it on the box look 16 or 17 years old. I e-mailed the company and will probably return the product to the store. Very disappointing on a hot summer day. Ok, they talked me into letting them do it anyway; we set it up in what I considered a flat spot, we had difficulty with puddling like everyone else. The slide had a patch on it straight out of the box; the company had patched it (quite poorly) and it passed inspection??? The packaging was original shrink wrapped, no one had bought it before us. I returned the product to the store for a refund the next day. The company never e-mailed me back either.
Don't waste your money June 10, 2008 R. Hughes (Newport News, VA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Bought this last week as my kids love skimboarding at the ocean. First of all there was a huge tear in the seam that was there before anyone even set foot on the slide. We patched it with the accompanying patch and it still blew out with the water pressure. We tried to make do without it but unfortunately our yard isn't COMPLETELY level. My kids had better success running and diving onto the surface with their BOOGIE BOARDS instead of the skimboard. I tried calling Banzai's customer service SEVERAL times and spent a couple hours listening to a recording. I never got a hold of anyone. I'll be returning this waste of money for sure. Instead of spending $[...] on this piece of junk, buy a long tarp and a boogie board for half the price and much more fun. If you do decide to waste your money, you'll also need a brick of surfboard wax as the foot grip doesn't provide much stability.
Really Fun July 17, 2008 A. Johnson (San Francisco Bay Area,) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I had surgery on both feet and knowing I was going to be out of commission for most of the summer I bought this slip-n-slide. I have never been big on slip n slides because I can see the potential for getting hurt. My kids have been having a blast. Our backyard is fairly level not perfect(after all nothing is 100%). My kids(9and10) got it set up and working without any problems(they wouldn't wait for dad). The only problem is we have 2 dogs and our little puppy bite the sides and created holes so now I am buying a new one. I told my family not to leave it out overnight because of the dogs:))) I would not hesitate to recommend this slip n slid they have been having lots of fun with it and it gets them outdoors.
