Great Fun! - Check out the video review October 23, 2007 A. Tarrant (San Francisco, CA) 154 out of 156 found this review helpful
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R2CMVS0U3ISA7N I love my Say What. I leave it out on the coffee table and get a quick game or two when I have a few minutes, or when I'm taking a break from working. When I have guests over its a fun conversation starter, or a good distraction when there is no conversation! Everyone always wants to play a few rounds. 300 Phrases is suprisingly deep, and it's just as fun (or more fun!) to watch as it is to play, kind of like a Nintendo Wii. I'm a fan of board games, but they can sometimes take too long. "Say What" is great if you can't commit a lot of time and just want something casual for a few minutes up to a half hour or so. The plastic balls are sturdy and I haven't had any problems yet. I've had it for over a month and I'm still on my first set of 4 AA batteries. It really is great for grown-ups and kids. There are references from the 1980s up to today, and even if a little kid doesn't know the phrase, they still figure it out through context. A bit of "Back seat driving" makes for a fun group atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Fun. addictive play! September 23, 2007 Howard (San Francisco, CA) 50 out of 51 found this review helpful
Our family has been playing this game nightly since we pulled it out of the box. It's fun and our kids really like shuffling the balls around (they make great sounds when moved in and out of the tray!). One of the more clever things they did was create skill levels so that our 7 year old has been able to play competitively with Mom and Dad. The kid has beaten the parents more than once! The audio could be clearer, but the pop phrases are great and fun to figure out (even the unfamiliar ones are fun to unscramble). Another great game from Radica!
Love it! September 25, 2007 Eric (Ca) 34 out of 34 found this review helpful
Finally a game for us pop culture people. My son had never heard the saying "the best part of waking up is Folgers in your cup", but he laughed when I couldn't unscramble "a scrub is a guy that can't get no love from me." Great fun with a group or on your own. Some real brain exercise.
Fun family game January 7, 2008 A. Schmidt (Grand Rapids, MI) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Our 7 year old daughter requested this game for Christmas and we ordered it, having never heard of it. It's been fun for all of us and for her friends. Sometimes she is not familiar with the original phrases (like, "nobody puts Baby in a corner" from "Dirty Dancing") but she can usually figure it out. I would recommend this product.
Great Game! EXPENSIVE Merchants!!! December 30, 2007 Book Bum (CA, U.S.A.) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This game is a LOT of fun, and our whole family enjoys it! HOWEVER... You can purchase this game for under $30 NEW at an Aah's Store OR for $14.95 from The Discovery Store! (I'm sure that you can Google other merchants who charge appropriately for this game, too.)I have NO IDEA why these merchants are charging SO MUCH ($50.00???) for this game!!! They have GOT TO BE KIDDING!!!
