Product Description A high-capacity environmentally-friendly mower that can actually pay for itself in fuel savings! No gas, oil, tune-ups - and NO annoying loud-mower noise. In our tests, we were very impressed with the cutting power; thick grass 4-5" tall didn't bog it down substantially - even in mulching mode. Patented rechargeable battery technology extends no-load run-time to over 4 hours - 2-3 times that of other cordless mowers - practical for use on lawns up to 1/2 acre/22,000 sq ft. Battery service-life is affected by factors such as number of charge/discharge cycles, charging procedure, proper maintenance and others; typical battery service-life of 3-5 years (battery is owner-replaceable and currently retails for $90.00; follow Operating Manual instructions to achieve maximum battery life). Removable safety key disables mower against accidental/unintentional operation. Smooth-rolling 7" front and 9" rear rubber - not plastic - wheels; mower weighs less-than 100 lbs for easy maneuverability. One-touch 7-position height adjustment, folding handle for compact storage. Includes UL-listed 110-volt AC charger (10-12 hours for full charge.) Ships UPS/FedEx partially assembled (just attach handle.) Manufacturer's 3-year parts and labor warranty.

Don't buy it July 12, 2008 Tom Willett (Tennessee) 22 out of 24 found this review helpful
This mower arrived with the wheel adjustment not working. It never became unstuck. The customer support is very sadly lacking. The mower worked for one hour then got caught on a clump of grass. It ceased to run after that. I was advised I could get a replacement circuit board. The circuit board replacement is a dangerous operation which should be performed only by experienced electrical service personnel. If you follow the instructions as I did a metal wrench holding a screw on the circuit board causes a spark when it accidently hits a metal tab on the circuit board. No warning. The blade then started rotating rapidly even though the mower was off and being dissasembled. This is a dangerous device. It is made of plastic of some sort. The labels quickly came off. The advice was to replace the labels with Scotch tape as though I was interested in their advertisement being on the machine. This is not a good cordless mower. I did find a nice one made of metal at a home type retailer.
Love the battery power and the 3 year warranty July 21, 2008 A. Socash (Rochester, NY) 15 out of 17 found this review helpful
Bought this through Jack's Tool Shed - I have mowed for hours with it and the battery is still charged. The mower bag is roomy and I can mow over half and acre on one charge. I did have an issue with the handle being dinged up in transit - Jack's shipped me a new one - no hassle. From what I have seen, all of these mowers (Homelite & Black & Decker included) can have their quirks no matter what you pay for them and they are almost all made of plastic. I like this one because it has a 3 year warranty more battery power and the customer service at Jack's Tool Shed is better than any other internet seller I have dealt with.
DON'T BUY! July 15, 2008 Wayne T. French 12 out of 14 found this review helpful
I bought this mower from another vendor and received it on 06/30/08. Before I opened the carton I thought that I had made a great purchase-powerful, 4-5 hour runtime, good price. As I took it out of the carton the left front wheel fell off! I was able to re-attach that wheel, and then noticed that the right front wheel was coming off. I could not re-attach that wheel. After charging the battery I was unable to get the motor going. I gave up. I put the mower back in the carton, and returned it today for a refund (cost of the mower only!). Don't buy this mower! It has many design flaws and many inferior parts.
Great mower, very powerful and quiet July 4, 2008 Thomas F. Miller (Minneapolis, MN, USA) 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
Very pleased with design and quality - as much power as my gas with a lot less noise. Amazing battery power, I can mow my entire lawn twice without recharging. Jacks was very helpful with questions I had before purchase.
Don't Buy This Mower July 17, 2008 J. Lazarus (Hollywood, Florida United States) 8 out of 11 found this review helpful
I have just received and unpacked the cordless mower I purchased from Jack's and so far I am very concerned. I have tested the height adjustment and it is jammed just like another customer reports in his review of this product. I am unable to adjust the height of the mower. I have set up the mower for its first charge and the green light came on instead of the red light which was supposed to come on. The charger is warm so I am assuming it is charging but we will see. I have also tried out the bail handle and switch and they do not appear to operate the way their operation is described in the Instruction Manual. In general this mower appears to be made from mostly cheap plastic parts. I am willing to give the mower a 24 hour chance but I have a very bad feeling about it. The height adjustment and safety key labels came off also. I have saved the carton and all the packing in case I need to return the mower. UPDATE 07/18/08: The mower would not run with a full charge. There were several other problems also so I decided to return this mower today and processed a return with Amazon. Thank you, Amazon, for making this return very easy to process. My advice: Do not buy this mower. It is cheaply made and poorly designed with cheap plastic parts throughout that don't fit well. Nice wheels, though. Even if it had worked I don't believe it would last very long. I am going to buy another brand like Black and Decker who has some experience at making cordless mowers.
