Easy to maneuver November 12, 2007 D. Hoyle (LEESVILLE, LA USA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Bought this 22" mower because I heard the large rear wheels make it easier to use. Mower can be used either as side discharge or mulch, I use it as side discharge. All I had to do was install the rear wheels, add the engine oil, and fill the fuel tank, which I thought at the time was kind of small. I've used this mower 7 hours now, on my small 125'x 250' lot. Couldn't believe how much easier it is to push than my old small wheel mower. It started easily each time providing the safety lever is held back. You will not pull the starter rope if the safety lever is not held back. Pulling it toward you is easy, just watch out the rear flap doesn't get run over. Around down spouts though it cannot get in as close as I could with my old mower due to the large rear wheels. Learned not to tip it on its side with muffler up for cleaning as the gas tank will leak. Instead, raise the front of the mower to clean underneath. Changing the oil after the first 5 hours was very easy using the drain plug on the underside of the engine, no need to tip or siphon oil. The filler tube seems to be the right size to hold the 20 ounce oil bottle neck. Accessing the air filter for cleaning requires use of a flat tip screwdriver. Foam filter easy to clean also, wash in warmy soapy water, rinse in clean water, squeeze dry in towel, then lightly oil. Overall I'm very sastified with this machine, it fits my needs well and so far has been extremely relaible.
Cheap junk. November 8, 2007 Adam Stephen 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
This mower worked great the first time I used it. The second time, when I backed up with it, it ate the flap on the back that blocks grass from coming out at you. It shattered the flap, dinged up the mower blade, and bent the shaft that holds the mower blade straight. When I restarted the mower, the blade would hit the frame, and black smoke came out of the muffler. I called in for the warranty, took it to an authorized shop, and all the warranty would fix was the grass flap. The mower mechanic told me that he will "See you next year to replace that muffler". I asked him what he meant, and he said "Those mufflers have to be replaced once a year for $50.00" He also proceeded to tell me that I paid too much for such a basic mower. Spend a little extra and get something with a little better quality. I mean who makes a lawn mower that you cannot go backwards with? This thing self destructs if you do.

Mower worked well as advertised. Large wheels help heavy mower. Started easily. Delivered on time and was Easy to assemble. Folding handle helps with storage.
Worked like a charm. January 4, 2008 Nicholas L. Smith (Battle Creek, MI USA) I needed to get a new lawn mower as the one I had was 8 yrs. old and died. I bought this and it arrived very fast I must say. Easy to put to use and it started after the second time I pulled the string. that is why I give it a four instead of a five. I really love the side discharger since my last one was a mulcher! What a relief! Nick
Good buy, so far September 8, 2008 Sam (Townsend, DE United States) I got this mower while it was on sale, and got free shipping too. Federal Express left it on my lawn out in the rain, five feet away from my covered porch. Right out of the box, one of the rear wheel supports was badly bent , but I repaired it in about an hour. I've only used the mower once, and it runs nicely. If it keeps running nicely, I'll consider it to have been a good buy.
