Quiet Comfort! May 19, 2006 J. Bidlack (Columbus, Ohio) 17 out of 18 found this review helpful
If you're a person that needs some peace and quiet when it's hard to find, these are the best tool for the job. I've used these for several years. Working nights and having to sleep when neighbors are mowing the lawn... Working days and having to concentrate when the drama queen on the other side of the cube wall is having a another mental break down... Whatever it is that you don't want to hear, these will work wonders! Most people might think that all earplugs are the same, but to me, these are the top of the line. I've used several kinds. Most either are a pain to fit in, or a pain when they expand! These are perfect. Never fumbling trying to get them inserted, never discomfort when they reach their maximum size. Wonderful sound absorption!
Best Ear Plugs!!! September 17, 2007 Robin Husslage (Rye, NH) 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
Great ear plugs. Soft & effective - doesn't hurt ear canal. And, they come in these nifty 2/bag with an easy open end! Works for small female ears (mine) and large male ears (my husband's)!
Not too sure about the color, but whatever works! January 11, 2007 S. Young (Tulsa, OK) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
I bought these for target practice at the gun range. The value is unbeatable compared to the hardware or discount store, the pillow packs are nice, and these are some truly wonderful earplugs. Easy to roll, quick to expand, and very good at quieting things down. Plus, gotta love the color!
Laser Lite Foam Ear Plugs NRR 32 , are GREAT! September 18, 2007 scottls1 (Kalispell, MT USA) 6 out of 10 found this review helpful
I was recently issued a pair of these while flying on a "noisy", two engine float plane hunting trip?- I was apprehensive, as normally foam ear plugs cause "extreme" irritation to the soft skin in my inner ear!? I also have fitting problems, as one ear canal is much smaller than the other? These were a delight!- They were sooo soft/smooth, and caused NO irritation! Easily fit in both both ears, and did not fall/work out! The 32nrr/db sound deadening was EXCELLENT! The next test was at the rifle range- I shoot a LOUD .338 win magnum rifle!- For shooting-it is recommended that you wear BOTH plugs & ear muffs!- The loud bang also travels up your jaw bone, so you must also protect the area surrounding your ear (You'll get Tinnitus..., if you don't!) For muffs I use/recommend the 30nrr/db "Leightening Howard Leight Ear Muffs"! Leightening Howard Leight Ear Muffs This double protection "REALLY", solved my "ears ringing". With the combination of these ear plugs/muffs- We are talking 62nrr/db noise deadening!
Saved my marriage! July 29, 2008 Opal 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have been using these ear plugs for the past couple of years, and I don't know how I got through the first 12 years of my marriage without them! My husband is quite the snorer... And I am a VERY light sleeper. The slightest little things wake me up. And I would be up alllllll night, pushing him back onto his side. His life is better now, too, without me pushing him off of his back all night. I can now sleep through all of those little things that used to wake me, AND the snoring! I recommend combining the ear plugs with the use of a fan. I keep my floor fan on, facing away from us, and I am in my own little blissful quiet zone. Advice for those who complained about the size: If you find these are too small for you, try the NRR 33's. They are larger and still awesome. For those who have tiny ear canals and find these 32's to be a bit too large, try the NRR 30's. The size of the Howard Leight ear plug changes in relation to its noise reduction rating.
