This is a great chuck. A great design, well engineered, and well made. I don't happen to own any DeWalt drills, so maybe they've all got chucks this good -- if so, I've been missing out. This is the only keyless chuck I've encountered that lets you effortlessly lock bits dead tight and release them just as easily: just slide the collar back slightly and twist. Best of all, it only takes one hand (at least with my drivers). Worth every penny, particularly given the quality.
I use it primarily with a pair of Bosch PS20-2 and PS40-2 drivers, and it works flawlessly with both, but I particularly like it with the PS20-2. I even use it chucked into my drill press if I need to make a lot of bit changes -- the one hand operation gets you spoiled in a big hurry.

great for dewalt 1/4 drive impacts. The makita version doesnt fit right in Dewalt products.price is high but other than that it works

I bought this for use with my Bosch PS40-2. I couldn't justify spending more money on another drill since I rarely need to use a drill attachment, but this Dewalt conversion chuck has been extremely useful. Like another reviewer said, its got a surprising amount of heft to it, but not enough to make my driver feel imbalanced, and the chuck itself feels very well constructed. Pop the attachment in, hold the collar and pull the trigger, and vice versa for taking it out.

Used this on my Dewalt impact driver that accepts 1/4" bits/shafts. Now I'm able to use it as a drill.

if you need this chuck for your impact drill to drill holes this is the one , it works well !!!!
