Amazon.com Product Description Like its 21-piece cousin, the focus of the DeWALT DW2163 37-Piece Screwdriving Set in Tough Case is durability. These heat-treated bits are made to withstand a beating, and their superior hardness provides higher torque and driving power. Moreover, the tips are designed to minimize the ever-frustrating hassle of stripping. The noteworthy difference between the two is that you get a Compact Magnetic Drive Guide with the 37-piece set, which will help you minimize wobbling and slipping. For users who need durability, the DW2163 is a good pick. What's in the box Compact Magnetic Drive Guide (1), 5/16-inch by 1-7/8-inch magnetic nut driver (1), 1/4-inch by 1-7/8-inch magnetic nut driver (1), no.2 Phillips 3-1/2-inch power bit (1), no.2 square recess 3-1/2-inch power bit (1), no.2 phillips/no.8 slotted double-ended bit (3), no.1 Phillips 1-inch insert bit tips (1), no.2 Phillips 1-inch insert bit tips (10), no.3 Phillips 1-inch insert bit tips (1), no.6 slotted 1-inch insert bit tips (1), no.8 slotted 1-inch insert bit tips (2), no.10 slotted 1-inch insert bit tips (1), no.1 square recess 1-inch bit tips (1), no.2 square recess 1-inch bit tips (6), no.3 square recess 1-inch bit tips (1), carrying case (1) The DeWalt story DeWalt Products Company was formed in 1922 in Leola, Pennsylvania. Make sure you really need this October 18, 2001 Mark Wilden (San Francisco) 59 out of 59 found this review helpful
Be aware that many of the items in this set are duplicates of each other. Also, there are only two nutdrivers. The screw guide is good, and it's smaller and easier to use than the one sold separately. Certainly, the quality seems excellent. But really think carefully about whether the two tips included with the screwdriver itself aren't sufficient, because this set just doesn't add that much.
For a few more dollars...more items here February 17, 2006 Traveler (Del Mar, CA) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
I was going to get the 21 piece DW2161...but I figure for $8 more I get a better value. More items (in case of loss or wearout) and a magnetic driver which alone is already the price difference.
Excellent Quality May 9, 2008 Johnson 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I have had this set for several months now and have come to appreciate what others call "duplicates" as well as the perceived poor quality of the case. First off the duplicates in the case are the pieces you use the most, phillips bits. Because the tolerances of screws are not as tight as they should be I consistently round out either the head of the screw or the bit. The fact that this kit comes with several allows you to fit the bit tip to the screw. Second the longer bits are great for areas where a little extra length is required. I recently installed a hi-loft in my garage and the longer bits came in very handy and these bits don't normally come in a set this inexpensive. Lastly the case, the size of the case is perfect when I have a small job to do around the house and don't want to carry my 100 piece case around. The bits don't fall out of their holders like many bits in other cases. Yes they are a little snug and I have large hands so it can be difficult to get them out but I would prefer that to all of them falling out every time I open the case.
Too Many February 16, 2008 John Jagusch 6 out of 12 found this review helpful
I would not buy this set up again It has too many of the same sizes
A great tool for home or busines March 12, 2001 Mario Alfonso Umana Trujillo (El Salvador) 5 out of 22 found this review helpful
Is a great tool for home or busines, with all the screwdrivers you ever need, with a real steel and easy to carry.
