Ok I have been a long time fan/player of PhantomEFX, by no means am I an employee or related in anyway. Matter of fact I won't hide who I am behind another screename here, if you play online you know me as WiccanWoman.
For those posting the reviews that say the games won't work on your computer that is NOT true! Also people are confusing offline and online which are 2 toaly different games. Please read my review to get the real story..the game DO work offline and they WILL work online for everyone meeting the minimum requirements.
The problem most people are having is mostly with the ONLINE portion of the game. That part is in beta testing right now. So for those of you that can't play online or get errors, just go to the website forum,(http://www.phantomefx.com/boards/index.php) you'll find many answers and help there. Some folks with Intel chipsets instead of dedicated graphics cards like Nivida6000 and newer (which should work perfectly fine now btw) are having issues. However thats not to say if you have an onboard Intel chipset the online games will not be playable for you. You just need to wait for patches and fixes to be made and they are working on them..THE ONLINE GAME WILL WORK!!
I know we're all excited and want to play now now now..but have a little patience. They will make sure everyone can get online, and then slowly add more content, when the tourneys, mall shops, adventures and quests are added..this game is going to be AWESOME!! And the Casino is HUGE, there will be no shortage of stuff to do when beta is over and LIBVE launches..and for the 19.99, your really paying for offline and getting LIVE as a bonus(subscription needed after your 30day free trial)
Now if you have a newer gaming PC with dedicated video cards and plenty of RAM (remember if your running Vista you'll need more RAM then with XP because Vista is a RAM hog lol) you should be fine.
I'm running a Dell Vostro 1700 laptop with Nivida GeForce 8600M GT 256MB 3G RAM on Windows XP. Only problem I had was a chat bug that thier putting a patch up for but can get into the online game PERFECTLY FINE. My hubby Figurehead is running a Dell desktop Dimension E521
AMD Athlon with a NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE Integrated Graphics GPU video card and he's also had no problems.
*TIP* You may need to update your video card drivers as well, but this and other helpfull tips again can be found on thier forum easily.
I can't stress it enough, if your having a problem ONLINE(or offline but thats rare), go to the forum and you WILL be able to play this game provided you have enough RAM and are not trying to play it on some ancient PC from 1990 lol. But do your updates!!
I was there for the first day of the previous online casino thats still up. There was bumps then too, but as things got more stable and content was added people had a blast..so as far as online goes give it time, DON'T PANIC and return the games Phantom is doing everything they can to make them work for everone..and it will happen!
NOW, for the real heart of the game..OFFLINE. I LOOOOOOOOOOVE this game offline, OMG I am sooooo hooked!! The slots are their best yet. The pays are great, every slot is well designed, the music is great and the prize vault will have you ROFL! This years pirate theme is sooo fun arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgg! Again remember this is the first year for 3D animations(which are incredible, when you hit a jackpot you get a nice 3D surprise!) if you are having any problems with the animations offline, make sure you do the OFFLINE updates and visit the PhantomEFX forum..most of the OFFLINE issues can be resolved by knowing what boxes to check before you play for your type of system.
Now I am off to go spin my Fav Slot, if you see me online feel free to say Hi, hope I helped clear up some of the misconceptions and helped folks understand the game a bit better. Happy spinning slot fans!

Tried on three computers, worked on one with some issues. OK if you buy this program there is a chance it will not work on your computer; We loaded it up on a two year old Acer lap top, and it works pretty well on there, with one issue, that a couple of the games are slow (not bad though the games are very graphic heavy), otherwise its a beautiful set of games that are very fun and like casino games. The graphics are impeccable and the sound is right on. The games are fun and very reminiscent of the games in casinos, such as the game Popcorn is like the 50 and 100 line games now is casinos, except its 40 lines (and you can get 40 jackpots at ones it also has bonus spins with a game within the game in the spins. The bonus games are all very good, there are 27 games with bonuses and some have more than one bonus, one game that is based off of reality TV (kin dof a knock off of Fear Factor, American idol, The trump show, Suvivior,etc) has five different spin games with different ways to get wilds. The lobby is a beautiful seen on a pirate ship. Also with EFX games you get to finish requirements to add more games, usually 3-4 more, I have not gotten that far yet. There are some very cool games hear, one with wizards and elements that has progressives you can hit; an Egyptian game, with a nice bonus game that is very good graphically speaking. A Baseball game, Bugs, Lucky break with balloons, a couple pirate and nautical games, And there's some poker and regular type slots as well. If you have a computer this software will work on, you will have a lot of fun. but I cannot because there is a 50% chance it won't work on your computer. It did not work on our compuetrs, that were over two years old, despite the fact both, met the specs. They have got to work the bugs out.

I just received my CDROM in the mail and sure enough like all the other reviews on here....MY GAME DOES NOT WORK!!! I uninstalled and reinstalled with the same application error. Tried the patch and of course that didn't work. I can't believe a company would release a game that doesn't even work at all. Nothing like throwing $20.00 down the drain. Makes me kind of wonder if I will order their games again. Don't buy!

I have every release from Phantom and couldn't wait for this new one. I understand that no computer game is perfect but this is the first release from Phantom that I have had issues with getting it to run correctly.
The old Phantom website used to have a test you could run to determine if your PC was compatible with this game. Both of my PCs passed - but still I have issues. I hear that there are many people who took the test and passed only to find out that it wouldn't run on their computers at all. They are working to resolve the issues but if I bought this and couldn't even get the game to load it would be on it's way back right now.
The online game seems to be where the attention is focused - even though the online game is still in "Beta". I know that the features I enjoy about online play won't be available for a while so I just want to be able to play and progress through the games offline - and I can't.
Going to Phantom's website and their message board is what I would recommend before trying this one to get a better idea if these games will play out of the box. Some people there are helpful (some not so much).

I love the game and it works great on all 3 of the computers in my house! I met the minimum requirements though (didn't base my purchase on whether the older Phantom games played, based it on the system requirements for these new games). I also purchased Millionaire's Club and it works perfectly as well. These games look beautiful!
The online portion of the game is in a beta, but I got on fine and can play slots, too. From what I've read on the boards, most people having issues don't have video cards that can handle the game. So just check the minimum requirements before you buy and you will not be disappointed!
