Product Description Advantage stops fleas from biting in 3-5 minutes, kills 98-100 percent of fleas within 12 hours of application, kills re-infesting fleas within two hours and lasts up to a month. Advantage kills fleas before they lay eggs, so their life cycle is broken. A liquid placed in between the shoulder blades of your pet.

Second to none October 17, 2005 FrKurt Messick (Bloomington, IN USA) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
My cats have fleas! Or, at least, they had fleas. I have used over-the-counter, less expensive items (flea powders, flea collars, etc.) up to and including other topical products like this one, and nothing worked. The flea collars were less than worthless - they actually caused patches of fur to fall out on at least one cat. The powder was unwieldy, and the other topical applications (save one) did not work at all. I must give credit where credit is due - I have used Frontline before for my cats, and have been very satisfied with the results from that one. However, I decided to try Advantage this time, as I'd heard good things about it, and it was on sale at a discount when I needed it. I couldn't be more pleased. Unlike most other topical applications where the flea substance is put on the shoulder blades of the cats and stinks (STINKS!), this has no easily discernable smell. This is a good thing. Also, the cats seemed to settle down from their scratching and biting at fleas within just a few minutes. Last night was the first night in weeks that the cats have all rested peacefully. There were no signs of flea-dirt left in their usual sleeping spaces last night. I am very pleased indeed. My cats are also happy. While I still have an appreciation for Frontline, I am happy to have Advantage as a viable alternative. The cats give this a sixteen-paw salute! (Four cats, four paws each, you know...)
Love it! April 2, 2005 L 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is the only stuff I've found to actually work. NO MORE FLEAS. BUT you have to be sure to treat ALL of your pets at the same time routinely, otherwise you will still have a flea problem in the house. And treating all of them can get expensive. :( What I like about this stuff is that it doesn't stink like most flea collars/products on the market. I like to kiss my cats' fur incessantly and I've never had a problem with an odor from the product nor have I been poisoned. My cats love it and if they could verbally thank me for using this product, I am 100% positive that they would.
Flea Treatment for Cats March 12, 2006 Gift Recipient 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This flea treatment is awesome. It's worth the extra money. I have a very active indoor/outdoor cat and she likes to romp around in the bushes and weeds. Since I bought Advantage I haven't had fleas since!
Excellent flea relief that you hardly have to bother with, but pricey August 22, 2005 Rodney Reid (San Francisco, CA United States) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
It's easy to use and my cats have remained flea free after using it for 3 months as advertised. We stopped seeing fleas in our home after a week as well, most likely from the neighbor's cat who was flea ridden and gave them to our cats. The only gripe I have is the price. My cats are small, so instead I bought the stuff for cats 10lbs and over and used 1/2 a tube on each of them. Still worked. I'm wondering what is the difference between this and the dog version (I can only think strength % for heavy dogs, and if I can use that on my cats in lower quantities.

I have been using Advantage for over 6 years and it is my favourite. I do not doubt that there might be others that are as good but I do not need to try them since I am satisfied with Advantage. My cats (in and outdoor) are safe up to 4 months with one single tiny application for each one of my "babies". :)
