Wilton Armetale 16 Ounce Sauce Pot November 5, 2006 E. Huntley (Texas) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
One of many Wilton Armetale products I have purchased for Christmas gifts. I own several pieces and have been extremely happy with my collection.
Wilton Armetale Sauce Pot April 12, 2008 MC (Houston, TX USA) I lucked out and paid less than half the going price. I got my sauce pot from Warehouse Deals through Amazon. I am very happy with my purchase. I do not particularly care for the design, but the price was right. The pot holds two cups (liquid almost reaches the brim). I use it mainly to warm water, soup or milk. The weight and feel is comparable to a cast iron pot. It cleans very nicely without much effort. The handle does get hot - you have to use the sleeve they provide or a potholder. A word of warning - if you heat milk in this pot and let it come to a boiling point, turning the burner off will not be sufficient, as the pot holds heat very well and the milk may boil over, even after the burner has been turned off. Once I used it to warm chicken stock (I believe) and I may have added a few drops of lemon juice, which caused discoloration to the inside of the pot. The instructions that come with the pot tell you what to do if this happens. Unfortunately, I read them but did not keep them. I hope this information is useful
