Simple, affordable, effective January 20, 2007 Seth Eliot (Seattle, WA, United States) 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
There are fancier and more expensive foot rests out there, but they offer little more than an increased price and decreased reliability. This unit sturdy consisting of a metal frame and a solid (plastic or wood, I cannot tell) platform. It has only one moving part: the platform tilts in place on the metal frame. I am 6' tall and find this foot rest to be quite comfortable. It's at just the right height to keep my posture straight when sitting at my desk in my office chair. The tilting feature is effective in allowing me to find a comfortable position, and allows me to change the easily position when I want as is recommended for maximum benefit. Changing position is done by simply moving the platform with the feet -- it is held in position by friction which seems sufficient to prevent unwanted slippage, yet yields when required.
Happy Feet August 23, 2007 The Old Dutchman (Severna Park, MD United States) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This gem of a footrest has made my day at the computer much easier on my feet and back. It helps with my circulation and my feet are encouraged to move around and play with the angles and position. Great investment!
Just What the Doctor Ordered April 12, 2007 GK (Pasadena, CA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I looked at all the reviews on footrests first. This one had none; I went for it. All the others seemed to have some problem. It is not fancy, only two pieces. Little or nothing to break. It looks and feels sturdy. It does what is supposed to do: adjust to your feet-and-back-needs with a slight pressure with your soles. It stays in place until you change it. No wobbling. Rubber on the bottom has enough traction to keep footrest from slipping on hardwood floor. Feet don't slip from rest surface, either. I started using it this morning. Very comfortable. My back feels better already. I recomend it.
recommended! July 8, 2007 Wendy Williams (New York, NY) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This 8" high footrest moves around to accommodate your shifts in posture, so it isn't really the full 8" high as it tilts toward you or away. I am 5'6" and have my chair adjusted the right height for me, but I still need this to rest my legs and take the pressure off my lower back if I am sitting for a long time. This one works great for that. It's a little clunky-looking there under your desk, but it may not even show, depending on how you have your desk oriented in the room. I had bought the 5" version but had to exchange it because it was too low to do any good (only 2-3" high in use). Get the 8" version!
Good functional design November 4, 2007 Will Staso 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I am about 5'8" and the foot rest works well for me. I like the swivel action as I can change the angle and be more comfortable as I alter my sitting positions. The foot rest is wide, which also allows for changes in foot placement. I think it is somewhat overpriced for how basic it is, but the design works.
