One of the Best quilter magazines June 7, 2007 Judith A. Manning (Carlsbad, CA USA) 25 out of 25 found this review helpful
i've subscribed for years, and even gone so far as to purchase older editions on EBAY. This is a terrific magazine with a lot of eye candy and good solid instructions and ideas. The cover quilts are always outstanding, great enough to frame. The instructions for these cover quilts weren't usually available but now, thanks to new copy format, all patterns are available as well as new quilting and patchwork techniques. You really can't go wrong in purchasing this magazine. It is definitely not a throw-away-at-the-end-of-the-month mag. There's a lot to offer for beginners as well as advanced quilters.
Inspiring Quilters May 21, 2002 Shanti (CA United States) 20 out of 22 found this review helpful
I have been subscribing to QNM for several years now and am always inspired by every issue. I especially like "Photo Finish" (picture of an exquisite quilt on the last page). Each issue also has a featured artist and pictures of some of their creations which is very inspiring. I sometimes wish artists would include some information on how they actually construct their quilts, so I could try them too. All in all, this magazine is well worth its subscription price.
Great ideas for all levels March 2, 2004 Jerilea Hendrick (APO, AE United States) 20 out of 20 found this review helpful
From the first time I picked this magazine up until now, I have been impressed with it. This magazine, unlike others, has great articles about quilters, techniques, fabrics, and everything else you can imagine that has anything to do with quilting. This magazine also showcases, in every issue, different quilting events that take place around the world. As a quilter, I've found that it is really great to see what other quilters have done to fabric. When it comes to the designs within the magazine, what I like best is that there are always a great variety of designs and techniques. Some magazines focus on the beginner level and throw in a couple of intermediate designs from time to time. I keep all of my magazines to use in the future, it is always my hope that I will, in the future, no longer be a beginner. I want those more challenging designs available to me--QNM does just this. QNM is a wonderful magazine which is able to encompass all aspects of quilting, from beginners to more expert/challenging designs.
Something I look forward to reading June 2, 2002 AnnaClaire (Brooklyn, NY USA) 12 out of 14 found this review helpful
I, too, have been subscribing to QNM for several years. I look forward to finding an issue in my mailbox. The magazine is a good mix of patterns, techniques, and products, and always a bunch of readers' quilts, too.
Just don't deal with customer service April 17, 2006 Terry Ostrander (Indianapolis, IN USA) 11 out of 14 found this review helpful
After subscribing to Quilters Newsletter for 14 years (!) I suspended my subscription for a year while we traveled in Europe for a year. When I tried to resume my subscription they told me my subscription had been cancelled for "non-payment" even though my subscription was paid up through 2007. I was hung up on twice, by a "supervisor" once. These people are happy to rip you off. Follow-up: They did eventually fix the problem but it took 2 months, 2 phone calls, and the label from an old issue mailed to them. I would upgrade this to 3 stars or delete the review but Amazon doesn't seem to have that facility.
