5 out of 5 stars How to Communicate Better Visually, More Intuitively   November 19, 2008
Alana (San Diego, CA USA)
Obviously any value that a resource provides comes from what you put into it. That stated, this resource is phenomenal.

If you are a professional, student, graphic artist, web designer, copywriter, art director, creative director, principal, media buyer, brand manager, or work closely with the industry- this magazine is for you. Offering a different focus with well-designed pieces in each issue, the variety is inspiring, as is the delivery.

A fantastic magazine that becomes an even better and more comprehensive library of reference, this resource is respected by the majority of the art industry-- and you know that we in the creative can find disagreements on just about anything! But the strength of this magazine, as is the strength of our cadre, is the unity of work all showcased in a phenomenal binding that lasts... as do the strategy and ideas of many of the pieces.

If you are thinking of getting just one magazine in the industry, this would be a great one to consider!

4 out of 5 stars Most consistent of it's kind   October 20, 2007

While it's the best of it's kind, it's not without it's short-comings: it's academic editorial style and focus on the artifact side of communication arts.

5 out of 5 stars STUDENTS!!   October 9, 2007

ATTENTION TO ALL STUDENTS:
If you subscribe to this magazine through the Communication Arts website, you can get a student discount if you send in a copy of your current student ID along with your subscription form. Instead of paying $53, you only pay $39.

Thought that may be helpful to all other struggling college kids!

4 out of 5 stars Quality Graphics Magazine   January 9, 2007

Though not bleeding edge, CA gives a good overview of what's happening in the field now. Only complaint is that the Annuals sometimes seem to be in a rut with similar or same folks featured again and again.

5 out of 5 stars Great Reference Material   October 11, 2006
B. Akagi (Minneapolis, MN)
Communication Arts is great. It provides ideas, insight, and shows what's going on in the media world as we know it.
