it baffles me why Joe Purdy isn't more popular. i know he is comfortable being a low profile artist and doesn't want big label attention, but seriously.... he is amazing. soulful and perfect and simple. the album has been in my constant rotation for the past year. his voice is just so heartbreakingly perfect, it makes my heart want to drop out from my chest sometimes. "worn out shoes", "blue in the sky", and "ode to sad clown" are just a few examples of the greatness that exists on this record. if you like singer/songwriters, you will love Joe.
