I've been a fan of OXO for years. I received this product last week and am now suffering buyers' remorse. Here's the 'I didn't think this through' part - this product is made with the thick clear plastic (Styrene Acrylonitrile - SAN) which since I've banned all plastics from my kitchen, won't be touching my food. While SAN may not leach the nasty by products of the petrochemicals it's made from, there is enough information about leaching plastics on the web to know I don't want plastics touching the food I have in my kitchen. Especially with kids around. I shouldn't have bought this but like i said, I wasn't thinking.
Also, the product is made in China and with the poisoned toothpaste, cough syrup and pet food that has come out of there in the last two years, I don't use anything made in China if it comes in contact with what goes in our bodies. Amazon should put the origin of the product in the description.

I love these containers. I filled one of the smaller ones with jelly beans and gave it for a house gift and the recipient was thrilled. I use the larger ones for flour and sugar and they are perfect - wide opening so it's easy to get a measuring cup in there, seals shut so everything stays fresh, easy to open with one hand like when you're talking on the phone while baking. I'll probably try some of the other sizes soon.

These are excellent for keeping staple products. Bought to replace 5 quart mason jars for storing flour, etc. that my wife disliked becasue they were too heavy and difficult to use They are easy to clean, provide an tight seal and are light-weight. The full-size opening makes getting measuring cups in-out a breeze. Strongly recommended.

I was looking for something to keep my saltines crisp. This size is great for the height of the saltines. The smaller one was too short. It's lid functions to keep the crackers crisp as it provides a great seal.

These are the best food storage containers I have found. They are airtight, keep food fresh, are well made, don't break easily, and on top of all that, you can open and close them with one finger. Anyone with arthritis or weak hands will love these.
