Caution! July 27, 2007 G. Puent 15 out of 17 found this review helpful
This unit uses a small diameter spout. You will need a converter to use any add-ons, such as a portable dishwasher. Smaller spout also means less volume of water.
Kitchen faucet July 30, 2007 Barbara G. Smith (USA) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
A great deal considering the high cost of any decent looking faucet these days. It has a retro look but fits in nicely with the look of the kitchen and certainly updates what was a white cafeteria style faucet that was there when I moved in.
Good for the money October 1, 2007 User (USA) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I was skeptical about this item after reading Price Pfister's reviews around Internet. However, it all depend what people paid for their faucet I guess. This one goes for about $120-140 at local hardware stores and I can't see me been happy if I'd buy it there. But for $40 from Amazon - I can give it 4 stars easily. Why not 5? Here is why: 1. I can't tighten the nuts strong enough to prevent the mounted faucet from moving when you push on it. It just moves back and forth a little bit. The base the top metal cover seats on is all plastic and apparently it bends if you push hard. It doesn't bother me, but it feels cheap. "Delta" faucets don't move even a little when you try to shake them. 2. It makes a strange sound when you open water all the way. If you do it slowly it's all quiet. But if I do it quickly I hear a thing called "hydraulic blow". It's not a big deal, but again - "Delta" I had before didn't do it. Other then that it looks good for $40 and still a nice upgrade for the money I think. How many stars would I give to the item if the price let's say was $100? Probably two, not four for sure.
Not as satisfied with this model as with other Price Pfister's in the house. February 8, 2008 B. Bowen (Napalm City USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I just installed this faucet. The install was smooth and easy as a faucet install could be. The first thing I noticed however was that this faucet did not feel as "substantial" as others. It felt more lightweight. I did not have any trouble getting the faucet to stay in place, with plumbers putty and tightening the nuts as per the instructions it sits on the sink as solid as a rock. I flushed out the lines also per the instructions. I took off the aerator and let the water run on each side for a minute or two. I replaced the aerator, turned on the water and was not satisfied with how the water flowed out I don't mean in the pressure or rate of flow but in the stream itself. It does not have a nice solid bubbly flow like most new faucets have. This one acted like the aerator was dirty/clogged and some of the stream shot out sideways instead of straight down. I tried some basic blowing out /cleaning and it helped enough in the water spraying sideways but the flow is still a bit choppy. Price Pfister pfaucets have a substantial aerator and the others in the house have a nice stream. I am also having a problem with some noise (hammer?) in the sprayer. Some suggest there may be debri in the diverter valve. All in all it looks good but there are those annoying faults that leaves me not completely satisfied like I have been with other Price Pfisters.
functional and easy to install December 2, 2007 marinda martin (Efland, NC USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The mesh on the aerator isn't very fine, so the water doesn't appear to have a great deal of pressure. But the unit was easy to install and didn't require any special "surprise" tools. If you buy used on amazon, the price is right.
