Product Description This revolutionary material resists heat, cold, stains and liquids. The rubberized side offers a safe non-slip grip, while the other is comfortably smooth to the touch. Stain-resistant, they are easily cleaned by hand or in the dishwasher. Use them as handy trivets too!
Amazon.com Review Though these innovative hot pads are shaped like conventional potholders, the resemblance stops there. Made from exceptionally durable, heat-resistant silicone, they can withstand high temperatures without scorching or transferring heat. Plus, since there's no need for padding, they're extremely thin and flexible--improving your dexterity while handling hot pans, bowls, or casseroles. One side is rubberized for a safe, non-slip grip, while the other has a smooth, fabric feel. To use as a trivet, simply place colored side down on the surface you want to protect. These hot pads are sized to fit in tight spaces such as the interior of a microwave oven, yet still work great anywhere you would use a cloth potholder. Unlike standard potholders however, Kitchen Grips's hot pads are stain-resistant. Simply wipe clean after using, or toss in the dishwasher. --Mary Park

mousepad as potholder November 22, 2005 M. Childress (NYC) 6 out of 9 found this review helpful
I ordered a pair of these recently, because I liked their unique style. But they get dirty quickly, and are hard to clean. They work about as well as you would expect a couple of mousepads to work as potholders.
Gotta get Kitchen Grips!! June 10, 2007 J. Becker (Wantagh, NY) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
These are the best, they are easy to use, easy to clean and...I love the fact that they are so thin so it doesn't feel like you going to drop the pan while grabbing the pot holder, I have other high temp pot holders but they are too thick and awkward. I can also hold a pan for quite a bit more time than I could with normal pot holders.. These also make a great trivet on my table. I would highly recommend these!!Kitchen Grips Hot Pad Two-Piece Set, Blue
Best pot holders I've used November 29, 2004 Sara S. (OH, USA) These pot holders are great. Since they're made from a heat-resistant silicone material, they're thinner and more flexible than all-cloth pot holders, but work just as well. They have a black, rubbery, non-slip gripping surface on one side that works well for holding anything from cookie sheets to heavy serving bowls. The other side is a colored, cloth-like material. Kitchen Grips are easily wiped off if any food gets spilled on them. They are also dishwasher safe, but I've put them through the dishwasher only once, since they usually come clean just from rinsing with water. They're very durable; I've used them almost every day for about a year and they hardly show any wear. It's hard to get excited about pot holders, but these are a good buy for the money, and they are convenient for everyday use in the kitchen.
kitchen grips October 7, 2008 Paul Socci (Monee) Duncan kitchen grips are great. Lite weight and very flexible. They are easy to use and work up to 500 degrees.
