Perfect April 23, 2008 D. Rosile 13 out of 14 found this review helpful
I bought this pro pack mainly for the stand. The XLR cable and microphone don't seem to be of the highest quality (I haven't actually tested them), but getting them for free is definitely not a negative. The stand itself is really great. It has three points of adjustment--down at the tripod, midway up the base, and the telescoping boom. The base is supportive enough that even at the fullest extension possible, my microphone is not enough to tip the stand over. It also has a cable clip attached to the stand to keep your cords from getting everywhere. This pack also ships with a clothespin-style microphone clip, which is great because it can fit a variety of barrel sizes. I've got a 30mm barrel microphone in it, and it works wonderfully. The clip also rotates vertically for maximum adjustment. You're not going to find a better deal for the price!
Great value, great for Rock Band guitar playing vocalists July 11, 2008 D. Casey 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
A great value, the stand and all the included accessories are great quality. It makes it so easy to sing along while playing guitar (well, singing + playing at the same time is tricky by itself, but the stand is perfect). Haven't tried with drums yet, but with all the possible adjustments I think it will also work great. The included mic holder fits the Wii Rock Band mic very well.
Stand is fine June 5, 2008 J. MCKEE 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I hope that you don't expect too much out of this. It's excellent for the price, the mic and cable are freebies and you get what you pay for. the mic would be great to give to your kids or to let your friens who always wants to swing the mic by its cable while singing karaoke but definitely not something your going to replace your beta 58 with. Stands don't get any less expensive than this one, especially with a boom so get this one to hold you over until you can afford that one handed heavy duty stand that you said you would never spend that much on.
You get what you pay for :) July 2, 2008 Blake Harding (Tempe, AZ) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've owned several of these over the years. To sum it up: you get what you pay for. The mic is surprisingly acceptable quality, but not anything you would want to use in live sound or god forbid in the studio (even a home studio). On other hand, the stands are sub-par quality in my experience--very cheaply manufactured. I've had several break and they're all around not too stable. Although when they did break, they were being man handled by friends, so that could ultimately be the cause (but poor construction remains an issue). If you get these, be sure to be careful and you should be fine. As the previous reviewer suggested, get this to hold you over until you can afford the real thing!
AWESOME product, especially for the price July 20, 2008 Bejae M. Michelli (New Orleans, LA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this to use when I play rock band. I love it. It adjusts a million different ways which is great for when I want to play the drums and sing. I highly recommend this product. Also, as a bonus it came with a regular microphone!! You can't beat that!!
