Product Description The Klean Kanteen 12oz Stainless Steel Water Bottle is excellent for little ones learning how to drink on their own. Pick your style cap. Having an insulated tote is key as it keeps their little hands warm and the beverage warm or cold - whichever you prefer. You may machine wash the Neoprene totes and put the bottles in the dishwasher. However, I have found that hand washing both works much better. The dishwasher cannot get into the Kanteens very well. Buy a bottle washing brush at your grocery store. About the Neoprene Insulated Totes: *Same as wetsuit material so very durable and washable *Maintains temperature of the bottle contents for a 3 hours *Made by Built NY

What happened to the stainless steel caps? March 7, 2008 Jazzman (Vermont) 58 out of 72 found this review helpful
What happened to the stainless steel caps??? They used to come standard. I am not gving the low rating to this cap, but to the fact that they have switched to plastic. The whole idea was to have the internal part of the screw top to be steel, so there's no plastic touching your liquid. The exterior grip on the lid was always plastic - that's fine. But now, you have to buy the original stainless screw cap as an accessory that costs more than 1/3 as much as the entire bottle product. Shame on you Klean Kanteen.
Too Noisy May 3, 2008 heather (Collierville, TN United States) 9 out of 14 found this review helpful
Love the bottle but much prefer the poly cap. The stainless on stainless cap is so LOUD when opening or closing that it couldn't possibly be used discretely in a library, classroom or indoor setting.
Do not submerge July 17, 2008 suz13 (Maryland, USA) 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
I ordered these as replacements to the plastic lids that came with my kanteens. They came with a "Made in China" sticker on them, so I soaked them in the sink to get the stickers off. They wanted to float, so I had to put something on them to hold them down in the water. A couple of hours later (I got distracted!), I picked them up to scrape off the stickers, and what do I hear but sloshing water... the lids had taken in water, but there was no way to open them up and get it out. All I could think was that the soapy water would be slowly leaking into my drinking water. So... it was back to the plastic lids Klean Kanteen Loop Cap/Polypro for us! (BTW, HealthEGoods was very helpful about returning them).
Too expensive July 19, 2008 Dimitria E. Gatzia (Syracuse, NY) 6 out of 9 found this review helpful
This product is way too expensive, if you include the shipping charges. $10 for a lid that should have been included with the bottle in the first place is a bit too much. I have two bottles but I am not paying more for a second lid. Clean Kanteen used to include those lids with the bottles, but they now sell them separately...
Getting away from plastic March 27, 2008 Joseph H. Kenrick (Arizona) 5 out of 8 found this review helpful
We wanted to have a stainless steel cap rather than plastic. We are very happy with this product.
