TO John Madachik "bizbiztech" September 20, 2005 Pappa Frankenstein (Nirvanastan) 14 out of 22 found this review helpful
John Madachik needs to lighten up a bit before he dies of a stroke. I suppose that he has never realized that many theatres use fake cigarettes, some of which are pretty elaborate. This is no different. Get off your soap box John.
Why create a toy that mimic's such a terrible thing??? August 14, 2005 John Madachik (Cleveland, OH United States) 10 out of 50 found this review helpful
This toy, whether it's to be used as a gag or not, is a poor way to teach society the wrongs and rights of cigarette and tobacco usage. People are dieing everyday from lung cancer and other complications as a result of the tobacco industry. It's bad enough that millions of people live on Arby's and McDonald's and have $sses the size of dumptrucks who think they are healthy! Now we have a toy that children can buy and see what it feels like to be a smoker. Wow, now we can promote smoking through toys. This is just great. Maybe McDonald's could offer them up in kiddy meals as the toy. Oooh goody, every child should have one of these.. NOT! Smoking is a horrible thing and should not be joked about. People become addicted and then die an early life as a result of smoking. Why joke about that and make a toy out of it? Obviously, this is another company that is looking to profitize and could care less about the consumer's well being. Just think of that family member, best friend, or co-worker who smokes. Instead of living until 100 years of age, they will die about 50 years sooner and they will spend their last years on planet earth living in pain and agony while walking an oxygen tank like a pet doggy. Sad, but true. So please, do not buy this product, even if it's not the real thing! Instead, spend your money on a nicotine patch or donate your money to charity!!!
These things rock! February 7, 2007 Roisterboy (Kansas City, MO) 10 out of 12 found this review helpful
I love fake cigarettes! They were even around when I was little. I'm 28 now. I also used to by candy cigarettes too. Fun stuff. I'm an ex-smoker. I didn't start smoking because I used to play with fake or candy cigarettes. I smoked because I chose to do so. There are more serious things to worry about in this world, play cigarettes are not one of them.
John, try actually playing with a toy before judging it. December 26, 2005 8 out of 14 found this review helpful
I understand how a toy like this can send the wrong message to kids, but believe me, we aren't as stupid about drugs as some people might think. Any well educated kid knows from being told all their life that drugs are not the answer. And as for teens, they are hardly likely to be interested in a gag cigarette and probably would dismiss it as a "baby toy." Lastly, it is not for you to decide what is bought and what is not. You should trust the parents to make the right choice for their child. So John, I respect your opinion, but please think of the pros and cons next time.

The product was recieved very timely. The puff cigarrettes were used in a high school play written and directed by students. They were very realistic and the smoke could be seen in the back of the audience. The play was a western and the product was better than expected.
