| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The fourth edition maintains the pathbreaking materials on theories of legislation, the legislative process, representational structures, campaign finance, regulation of lobbying, direct democracy, the relation of statutes and the common law, statutory interpretation, and statutory implementation. The new edition features up-to-date coverage of the Honest Leadership and Open Government Act of 2007, as well as substantially expanded coverage of judicial deference to administrative agency interpretation.

Unfortunately, I did not have the option of choosing to take this class from the co-author Professor Frickey, however, this book more than made up for that. This is an excellent book on a topic which unfortunately receives little attention at most law schools. This book provides lawyers or law students with the analytic skills necessary to be successful at practice and at class. In addition if you do not develop those skills you can always use the plethora of statutory cannons contained in this book.
