As the author and his wife share the most intimate details of their prostate cancer journey, readers learn how to:
-- Become an active member of their medical team -- Reduce pain and stress and renew vitality -- Overcome impotence and incontinence -- Enhance intimate relationships -- Draw strength from faith, family, and friends
Prominent robotic surgeon Dr. Robert Carey discusses medical and patient-care concerns and the author's wife provides a running commentary, sharing her thoughts about how she and her family coped with the disease and its effects.

Great Read! October 23, 2008 Darren Ritch (Florida) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The book is an account of Rabbi Ed and his wife's experience with Prostate Cancer and the options he chose as a treatment. His Doctor even has an account in the book as well. I must say that once I started reading this book I could not put it down. It touched me through and through and I wish I had a book like this when I first found out that I had prostate cancer. It does a great job of laying out treatment options and side effects. Rabbi Ed did a wonderful job and I appreciate his being so open and honest with his own personal story. It truly touched me. conquer prostate cancer November 10, 2008 Harriet Brand A well written and heartwarming story not which only discusses treatment options in depth but, of equal or more importance, illustrates how both the patient and family dealt, and continue to deal, with a devestating, unexpected diagnosis. The story transcends the specific cancer and would be good reading for patients and families, regardless of the type of cancer. I most highly recommend it. Jeffry Brand, MD
An Insightful Read December 24, 2008 James Occhiogrosso (Florida, USA) Conquer Prostate Cancer presents a detailed and touching account of Rabbi Ed and his wife's journey through treatment for prostate cancer, while it also describes the experiences of 19 other men and their wives. Rabbi Ed talks openly and insightfully about treatment options, side effects, and emotional and faith issues. A must-read for all prostate cancer patients, survivors and their loved ones.
