Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
In his first book in five years, Michael Moore brings us the definitive guide to the 2008 election.

After a diastrous war, the failure to catch bin Laden, millions of families who have lost their homes, the Katrina debacle, soaring gas prices feeding record oil company profits, and the largest national debt caused by the biggest spending and borrowing administration in American history, the country has had it with conservatives, right-wingers and Republicans. A thrilling election season is now upon us. Obama vs. McCain. One candidate has promised a presidency different from any other, one that will take us forward to embrace the hope of the 21st century. The other candidate says he has no idea how to use a computer.

Welcome to MIKE'S ELECTION GUIDE -- Michael Moore's effort to make sense of the this fall's race for the White House and Congress. In it, Moore answers the nation's most pressing questions: "Why is John McCain so angry?,""Do the Democrats Still Drink from a Sippy Cup and Sleep with the Light On?," Can I get into the Electoral College with only a 2.0 gpa?" and "How many Democrats does it take to lose the most winnable election in American history?"

It's a great year to be an American and a voter. Don't miss out on all the fun! And don't miss out on MIKE'S ELECTION GUIDE -- it's the indispensable book that belongs in every American's back pocket this season.

5 out of 5 stars Not his best, but still better than most of the genre   August 20, 2008

Mike once again cuts through the pseudo-intellectual pomposity generated by most pundits to deliver a straightforward analysis of what's wrong with this stupid country, and what he thinks needs to be done to fix it. I don't always agree with his conclusions--to me, Obama is just one more in a long line of DLC corporatists--but he does manage to show that our problems, while not exactly easy to address, are also not nearly as complex as self-serving political "scientists" and other wonks make them out to be. As a matter of fact, as the book shows, if one ignores the Orwellian spin doctors and applies some good old populist perspective, it's amazing how our most trying social concerns suddenly seem to lose the aspect of overwhelming doom.

Mike Moore for President!

5 out of 5 stars His Best Yet!   August 19, 2008

Michael Moore once again proves he is far and away America's best and brightest political observer with this exceptional offering - brilliantly written, tightly edited and perfectly presented with scalpel sharp humor. Delightfully declarative. Unambiguously incisive. Barry Obama! Read this book!

5 out of 5 stars Funny and insightful   August 20, 2008

This book is both insightful and funny. Since I've been reading it, I find myself laughing out loud in public places. This is the kind of book you won't want to keep to yourself. It's also a great book to read select parts to your husband, wife, partner, friend or kids. Spread the word, this is a fun fast read.

4 out of 5 stars Very funny, even if you don't love Moore   August 29, 2008

This book is extremely funny. Moore takes silly questions and answers them in a Colbertesque absurd way. You don't have to be a leftist--I'm not-- to enjoy reading Mike's Election Guide. It is flat-out funny. Even a FOX News anchor can enjoy this book. Incidentally, it's a quick read--I finished it at the bookstore in a half hour. Well worth the low price.

4 out of 5 stars Fantastic! Completely Unbiased!   August 20, 2008

Once again a completely unbiased book by the brilliant political mind of Michael Moore! It takes a lot to write a book that only has facts in it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it's not printed on recycled soy paper. After reading this book, I am definitely voting for Obama!
