Product Description The SwaddleMe provides the simplest way to swaddle with soft fabric wings that hug your baby close. A leg pouch pops down for quick diaper changes while leaving baby comfortably swaddled. As baby grows, wings adjust for a customized fit for your baby. Swaddling soothes infants by recreating the comforting snugness of the womb and new research shows that swaddling may help reduce the risk of SIDS by promoting better sleep when babies are on their backs. Pediatricians recommend swaddling to soothe and comfort newborns, helping them sleep better and also to help reduce colic. A percentage of each SwaddleMe sold is donated to First Candle / SIDS Alliance to help babies survive and thrive.

For Newborns ONLY and very thin September 3, 2005 Helen (Chicago, IL) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
The material is very thin, so we had to put our baby into an additional SleepSack over it. Good idea, but could have used a bit more fastening.
Best Product Ever July 13, 2005 Colleen (Boston, Ma) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is the best baby product yet. I am a very nervous person so swaddling my newborn with a blanket just didnt keep me sleeping @ night. I bought the swaddle me's and I don't have to worry about the blanket coming loose and covering her face. She also sleeps through the night being nice and tightly swaddled. I would highly recommend this product to everyone who has a newborn. My daughter is 2 months old and still loves to be swaddled. I will use them for as long as I can. Only thing is make sure you get newborn ones if your baby is small. My daughter is now almost 10lbs and still using the newborn one. The larger size wich is an infant one is from 7lbs to 14lbs.
Love it!! June 23, 2005 Natalie 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have used this with my daughter for the past four and a half months. My husband and I are huge fans of swaddling because our daughter has been sleeping for 9 to ten hours a night when swaddled. i just wish they made it a little bigger. My girl is 26 inches long and quickly outgrowing it. This was one of the best gifts that we have received.
Great Product August 16, 2005 Becca (NC) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
The Swaddle blanket worked wonderful for my 6 week old. She slept much more restful. However, like other reviewers, it did shrink and at 10 weeks it no longer fits her at 11 lbs. I purchased the large size and it is huge. A friend told me she added extra velcro to hers to allow it to fit more snug. There needs to be a medium size! All in all, I felt like I could not live without this blanket and have stocked up on extras to give as gifts to friends.
Good idea, but quality is lacking December 21, 2005 M. Richardson (Clemmons, NC United States) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I registered for and received this blanket as a shower gift. While I have been very impressed with most of the Kiddopotamus products I've used, I was disappointed in this one. The blanket is adorable, but... The flannel material is very thin and it shrinks a lot when washed. As with all new blankets and baby clothes we washed this before using it. We actually used it to wrap our daughter as we left the hospital after her birth. She weighed 7 lbs, 13 oz. when we left the hospital and it was a struggle to get the velcro to meet. After a week, we couldn't use it at all. I've seen great reviews on other swaddling blankets and I'd recommend trying a different one (unless your baby is a preemie born in the summer in which case you might get a lot of use out of this blanket).
